At the very least, almost everyone agrees that the lore is fascinating- Skyward Sword is set at the very beginning of the Legend of Zelda timeline and serves as an origin story of sorts. Skyward Sword received near-universal critical acclaim, but over time it has proved to be a somewhat more contentious installment in the franchise, with its prolonged tutorials, its introduction of weapon durability, and its love-them-or-hate-them motion controls. Instead, on July 16 Nintendo is offering the remastered HD release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which came out on the Wii all the way back in the fall of 2011. The bad news: It isn’t Breath of the Wild 2, which Nintendo has very tentatively scheduled for sometime in 2022, if we’re lucky. The good news: To celebrate the series’s 35th anniversary this year, Nintendo has more Zelda on the way. With the trial finished, every item collected on Eventide will be removed from your inventory. Before putting the orb in place, drop any weapons or items you intend to keep. With orb in hand, take it to the uncovered platform. When it starts covering its eye, if your Stasis Rune is upgraded, you can use this to freeze him-giving you an opportunity to shoot its eye unobstructed.Īlternately, if you've freed Divine Beast Vah Naboris, you can easily shock the Hinox with two charges of Urbosa's Fury. Taking higher ground to shoot at its eye does well, too. You can push them onto the Hinox below, and use Stasis to hit them very hard into him. When he does this, you can snatch the orb right from under his nose! If you can't successfully sneak up on it, use these two boulders at the top of the hill to your advantage. The easiest way by far to deal with it is by sneaking up to his hand, and waiting for him to scratch himself. The Hinox below carries the last orb around its neck. You can use Magnesis to use the metal crates as weapons against them, causing the Electric Chuchu to explode and harm the Bokoblin. Sneak past it for now, and head up to higher ground where the platform is. You're going to pass a Hinox on the way to the last platform. Deposit the orb here.īefore heading to the last orb, cook the food you've collected. Use Stasis on it and bash it with heavy weapons to send it flying. The platform here is blocked by a rock slab. Hopefully, the fiery explosions will take out most of your enemies at once. Use the explosive barrels to take out the stronger Moblin here. Now head to the orb and platform located on Koholit Rock. Use Cyronis to lift it up, jump over, then toss it onto the platform. Once you can see the platform, throw the orb into the water. Again, use the explosive barrels to your advantage, grab the orb, then head north to the platform. Here, there's an orb on a wooden structure protected by Bokoblins. Then, head to the isolated chest on the map above. Simply blow up the barrels with a Remote Bomb before alerting them, and most, if not all, will be felled.
They're right next to a bunch of explosive barrels, so this is an ideal spot to get some starter weapons and food. The skull on Toronbo Beach shows where you can find a few Bokoblin around a fire. You can find a few Hearty ingredients on the island, which fully heal you and give you extra hearts when cooked by itself. Your goal is to find three ancient orbs and deposit them onto three platforms.įollowing is a map of Eventide Island with stars representing platforms and the chests are orbs locations. The save option is disabled, so if you die, you start over from the very beginning of the trial. If you dropped your items on the beach, you can now pick them up. Every item in your inventory, including armor, weapons, food-literally everything-will be taken from you except your Runes. Once you get further on the beach, a voice will stop you.
